For us, that question started thousands of miles from home.
While traveling between Utah and Chile to visit family, we searched for a travel fishing rod that could fit the journey without sacrificing the feel and performance of a full-sized rod. We found plenty of rods that were easy to pack—but too many felt like compromises once they reached the water.
So we stopped looking.
We started building.
That pursuit became Bakkan Fishing.
