Love hunting the famous Australian Murray cod, biggest catch so far going close to 1 metre.

What an incredible fish! Nearly a metre is a seriously impressive Murray cod. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us - we’d love to see you break that metre mark next!

Sometimes the biggest monsters come from the smallest ponds.

This giant catfish came from a small local pond, and it reminded me that you never know what might be waiting below the surface.

I'm Camila, and I just enjoy getting outdoors, spending time on the water, and sharing my fishing adventures along the way.

Whether it's a neighborhood pond or a larger lake, every trip has something to teach you.

Winter bass fishing at Blue Rock…

Beautiful scenes of Australia in winter, I don’t think I’ve ever been so cold in this photo but it’s all about the bass.⛄️

Australia never disappoints. 🇦🇺 Those sunrise and sunset shots are incredible, and braving the winter cold makes the adventure even better. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of Blue Rock with the community—we’re excited to follow your adventures!

My fishing philosophy…

This is my kayak Florence or Flo for short, she has no technology on board as I like to rely on my instincts when fishing.

I have no qualms with technology, I simply find it more rewarding locating fish armed with knowledge and instinct.

Reading up on feeding patterns, seasonal behaviour and weather conditions can help unlock the code. Along with learning how to read water and you have a deadly combination for locating your target species without tech.

For me, there is nothing like exploring the water and surroundings when I’m fishing. I find it soul filling and when you find a honey hole on your own it’s pure gold.

So next time your out I challenge you to find a honey hole without technology, it’s well worth the effort. This is mine and it produces some cracking bass!

Love this philosophy. There’s something special about learning to read the water and trusting your instincts instead of relying on a screen. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
